Sometimes a picture is right in every way except one: it faces the wrong direction. A selfie where the writing on your T-shirt reads backwards, a product shot that points away from the text on your banner, a portrait that would look better looking into the page instead of out of it. Flipping fixes all of these in a second, and this tool does it without any editing software.
Everything happens inside your browser window. Your photos are not uploaded anywhere, you do not need an account, and the image you download is completely clean — no watermark, no logo in the corner.
A horizontal flip swaps the left and right sides of a picture, exactly like a reflection in a bathroom mirror. It is the most common flip people need. Front-facing phone cameras often save selfies the opposite way round from the preview you saw, which is why signs, logos and printed shirts can look reversed. One tap on Horizontal puts them back the right way.
Designers use horizontal flips all the time too. If a person in a photo looks off the edge of a flyer, mirroring the image turns them towards your headline and keeps the reader's eye on the page.
A vertical flip turns the picture over from top to bottom, so the sky ends up underneath. On its own it is great for creating water-style reflection effects, fixing scans that came out upside down in a mirrored way, and preparing artwork for some print and transfer methods. Choosing Both applies a horizontal and a vertical flip together, which gives the same result as turning the picture a half turn.
It is easy to mix the two up. Rotating spins the whole picture around its centre, and everything in it still reads the right way round. Flipping creates a mirror copy, so text becomes backwards. If your photo is simply lying on its side, you want the rotate image tool instead, which also lets you straighten crooked shots with a custom angle.
Add up to ten images, set Apply To to All Images and pick a direction — every file flips together. You can still click any single image and give it a different flip. When you are finished, Download All as ZIP saves the full set in one file, while Download Selected saves just the image you are viewing or the ones you ticked.
Flipping only moves pixels to the opposite side, so sharpness and colours stay exactly as they were. Files are saved in their original format by default, and transparent PNG and WebP backgrounds stay transparent. You can also switch the output to JPG, PNG or WebP and set the quality yourself. After flipping, you might want to crop the picture to a new shape, resize it for social media, or make the file smaller for email and websites.
